Don Imus Pt. 2

Yesterday Don Imus appeared on the Reverend Al Sharpton's radio show to discuss his recent racist remarks against the Rutgers women's basketball team. However, are African Americans being hypocritical for using the same words like "Ho's" and "B*tches" when refering to our women?
Listen to the Rutgers University press conference on this issue here.

Yes, the double standard of words is being hypocritical. There should be no double standard of using words depending on ethnicity. Because the word(s) in question were created to be used in a derogatory context. Therefore the use of the n-word, b-word, h-word, etc. as greeting should be prohibited. In English grammar/literature the act using a word out of context is deemed ignorant. Our culture is highly visible and the recent incidents in the media just show us what the public perception of us is. Those recent incidents should serve as a wake up call to our culture. To a certain extent we are the cause of some of our own problems because if we didnt't use those words within our own ethnicity it wouldn't be a question of the meaning that someone outside our race intended to imply.
